Sunday 14th April 2013: Words were spoken, not that these words have never been spoken.
There are times when words are empty, there are times they carry the full impact of what is being said, there are times when they are just gibberish.
Words do really make or unmake.
Words can cheer or depress.
This tongue is so powerful.
Mostly it acts as a link from heart and mind to the listening ears around us.
I also learnt in times recent not to utter any word I do not ever mean:
Prov 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
2 The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge,
but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.
When people use words against me, I do not react, instead I tell myself "If i cannot build, i will not destroy"
Patience or long-suffering is the virtue.
Ecclesiastes 5:2
Do not be quick with your mouth,
do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven
and you are on earth,
so let your words be few.
Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Next time smile when you speak, there is a way to show anger, which when done blesses those to whom you are angry towards.
I love you (with a smile)
