Roots

Read and re-read Psalm 37 its loaded.

But my major concern is about this tree yeah this one.
It's big, tall, strong, yet i wonder how it became so, because it started small. Well the roots. I have been wondering where my roots are - whether in the Word of God or in things of this world? And this goes down to where the heart is. Jesus is right in saying all He said "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. " (Matthew 6:21). I challenge you to re-trace your steps and see where your roots are. If we want to refer to God as our all, we have to be rooted in Him. Tell me how we can be rooted in Christ?

Our rebirth

"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." (1 John 3:1). "Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure." (1 John 3:2-3). "To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." (Colossians 1:27). "For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father". The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children." (Romans 8:15-16). "And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us." (1 John 3:23-24). the Lord is faithful to His word let's live today conscious of our adoption and inheritance. (Scripture verses taken from NIV)
